Hi friend! Do you ever get stuck in a rut with your life, and you just need a touch of inspiration? Me too! So I thought it would be fun to share with you some of my favorite simple living podcasts!
Since I started traveling to college twice a week, I wanted to listen to something besides the radio. This is when I stumbled onto the world of podcasting!
It quickly became a way for me to learn about simplifying my life, blogging, and self-improvement. My quality of life is steadily improving because I keep my mind open to learning new things. And I believe you can do the same thing with your life!
To keep things simple, I’ve split my podcast recommendations into the following categories:
- General Simple Living Podcasts
- Minimalism Podcasts
- Homesteading Podcasts
Let’s dive into my favorite podcasts!

My Favorite Simple Living Podcasts
I want to point out that these are in no particular order because I enjoy them all very much!
Nature & Nourish Podcast //
Becky O. Cole is very charming! I love her approach to eating and enjoying each season. I could listen to her talk about herbs, foraging, and treating yourself for longer than I care to admit.
Her podcast is full of amazing content, so be sure to put her on your list!

A Sunny Side Up Life Podcast //
Sami is a friend of mine that I’ve really enjoyed learning from during this journey. While she primarily focuses on finances, she is all about living your best life! What I love most about Sami is that she isn’t afraid to tell you how things are. She is direct but caring.
Sami was also kind enough to host me on her podcast twice [Episode 23 and Episode 68], so be sure to give them a listen as well!

The Slow Home Podcast //
Brooke and Ben discuss many aspects of slow living with people who are seeking a simpler and slower lifestyle. If you’re just getting started or are ready to take the next step in your journey towards a slower lifestyle, I recommend you give them a listen!

Shannon is such a delight! She has a very unique approach to simple living that is inspired by her fascination with living more refined on an average income. I think you’ll enjoy her approach to simple living!

Kestrel investigates different ways to be conscious of the clothing decisions we make each time we shop. She interviews so many amazing people from all walks of life and shares their stories.
Since I started listening to this podcast, I have really stepped up my morals when it comes to shopping for clothing.

My Favorite Minimalism Podcasts
Sustainable Minimalists Podcast //
I started listening to Stephanie’s podcast a few months ago because I love all things minimalism and sustainability. She isn’t afraid to say what needs to be said about climate change or living more simply, and I love that!
Her episodes have a couple of different formats: 1. deep dive into a certain topic [may be an interview] and 2. headlines. I love both, but the headlines are what really pique my interest.

The Minimalists Podcast //
The Minimalists are probably the most popular leaders in the minimalist community. They have a perspective that really transformed the popularity of minimalism and helped it become a massive movement across the world.
I’ve gained several ideas and have tried many things they suggest in my own minimalism journey that opened my eyes up to the real possibility of transforming my life.

Minimalish Podcast //
Desirae and I have similar ideas of what minimalism is. It isn’t a one-size-fits-all lifestyle, and her approach to sharing is honest and real.
I love that her focus is on the space minimalism creates in your life. It isn’t just about decluttering your home. It’s much more than that.

My Favorite Homesteading Podcasts
The Modern Homesteading Podcast //
To me, homesteading enables us to slow down and really live simple lives. This podcast offers a range of topics and information that you can start applying to your life instantly. They even share other successful homesteader’s stories, so that you can see how much this lifestyle varies from family to family.

Cog Hill Farm Podcast //
Jason’s podcast is one of my absolute favorites because he is down to Earth and real. He talks all about his experiences [good or bad] and makes everyone feel like homesteading is possible.
I’ve honestly gotten more creative with homesteading since listening to this podcast, which I love!

Old Fashioned on Purpose Podcast //
If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know that I admire and respect Jill so much, so of course, I had to include her podcast in this post! She’s been homesteading for over 10 years and has a lot to offer in the way of actionable advice and stories.
I learn and gain so much motivation to keep at the homesteading lifestyle from Jill, and I think you will, too!

Homesteady Podcast //
Being a modern homesteader is not the same as a traditional homesteader. With all of the new technology, knowledge, and access to information, homesteading is transforming.
I love all of the different lessons I have listened to in this podcast because it has inspired my own homesteading journey. I am not nearly as self-sustainable as this podcast gentleman, but I am working to get there.

The Beginning Farmer Show //
This is a fun podcast for me because I love the idea of being a self-sustainable farmer and possibly turning it into an income. With the help of an accounting friend, this farmer learns which investments are worth it, and which can be left to others.
Plus, there are some pretty great stories, if you are into that sort of thing!

I was surprised not to see The Simple Show with Tsh Oxenreider on this list. I love listening to her and guests talk about about how they live their best lives and say no and yes to the right things.
I have not heard of The Simple Show until now, so I will definitely have to give it a try! Thank you for the recommendation, Jordan!! Podcasts are definitely one thing I am not minimal with, because you never have enough resources to learn from, in my opinion! 🙂
