Living a healthy lifestyle isn’t just about eating well and exercising. In fact, there are everyday things that you can adjust to improve your health. In this post, I’m sharing seven creative ways to live a healthy lifestyle that you can implement as quickly as today!
I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t eat the best or love exercising, and I know I’m not alone. While these two things are very important, they aren’t the only things we need to do to live a healthy lifestyle.
Before we get into the post, I do want to thank Rabbit Air for sponsoring this post. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
7 Creative Ways to Live a Healthy Lifestyle Starting Today
When you think of living healthy, odds are you think of your physical health, but a healthy lifestyle is much more than the food you eat or the exercise you do.
It is about being intentional in all parts of your life, which is why I wanted to share these creative ways to live a healthy lifestyle. These are things you can implement as quickly as today and will actually want to implement!
I’m a very practical and simple person [for the most part], so the things I do to live healthier need to be practical and simple. No one is alone in feeling or being certain ways, and with knowing that, I had to share these with you!
After reading this, let me know if you have any creative ways you live healthy by commenting below in the comments!
1 // Replace medicine and candles with essential oils
I used to be a skeptic when it comes to essential oils, but after having lots of headaches and nothing helping to ease them, I gave them a try. The relief I experienced was incredible!
Since then, I’ve learned a lot of different ways to use them, which has reduced my dependency on OTC medicines and several other conventional things.
When it comes to conventional candles, the wax, wick, and fragrance used within them can be harmful to your body. To avoid these toxins, you can replace them by diffusing essential oils that not only smell amazing but are healthy to breathe. [Read this article about the dangers of conventional candles.]
Reducing your need for OTC medicines and swapping out toxic conventional candles for essential oils, you’re making simple changes that can have a big impact on how healthy of a life you live.
2 // Get 6-8 hours of sleep every night
You don’t realize how important getting enough rest is until you deprive yourself long enough to be forced to get enough rest.
The average adult needs 6-8 hours of sleep every night to function well. You will notice a large change in your mental health when you make getting enough sleep a priority.
Just a personal example: I used to get about 4-6 hours of sleep when I had a day job. Getting up early was such a struggle, and I was miserable. This went on for about 4 years.
Once I went full time with blogging, I adjusted my sleep routine. By setting up a routine that would allow me to easily get 8 hours of sleep.
Within the first few weeks, I felt like a different person. I was still playing “catch up” for all the time I didn’t get quality sleep, but my mental health improved immensely!
Now that I’m officially two months into my new routine, I feel recharged and refreshed. I’m not the short-tempered person I used to be, and it feels great!
3 // Swap an unhealthy beverage for water and start each morning with a cup full!
By drinking more water, your body will feel better. Being hydrated is important for your skin, internal organs, muscles, and mental health.
By swapping one unhealthy beverage each day for a cup of water, you’re telling yourself that you are a priority. It doesn’t mean you can’t indulge in your favorite beverage, but reducing how much of it you enjoy and increasing how much water you intake can have a large impact on your life.
It is actually healthier to start each morning with a cup full of water. By doing this, you allow your body to wake up naturally and rehydrate after 8 hours of sleep.
Now, I’m not saying that you can’t have your coffee, because coffee is life! But it will make it easier for you to get your water intake for the day.
If plain water isn’t your thing, add lemon to it, and you’ll actually increase the health benefits of being hydrated. Infusing strawberries is another favorite of mine!
4 // Clean up your air with the Rabbit Air MinusA2 Air Purifier
How clean is the air you breathe in your home? If you live in the city or next to industrial factories, it may not be as clean as you think. This can have a negative impact on your health, which is why the Rabbit Air MinusA2 Air Purifier is the perfect solution!
I live in the country and still see an air purifier as a necessity because my husband suffers from allergies. With an air purifier pulling toxins and germs out of the air, my husband can breathe easier, which is a huge blessing!
I chose the Rabbit Air MinusA2 Air Purifier specifically because it has a lot of features that fit perfectly for our space.
Here are just a few of my favorite things about it:
- covers 700 square feet
- can be controlled from my phone
- Lights to show mode [long bar in the middle of air purifier] and air quality [circle light on right side of air purifier]
- six-stage purification and deodorizer
- customized filtration options [Germ Defense, Toxin Absorber, Pet Allergy, and Odor Remover]
- protects against a lot of things like dust mites and pollen
- ultra-quiet and is light-sensitive [night mode is completely silent!]
- 3 modes: Auto, Pollen, and Night Mode
I really fell in love with the Rabbit Air MinusA2 Air Purifier when I realized how well it pulls germs and odors out of the air.
My husband sprays down with alcohol after being in the woods [hello country living], and the smell usually lingers for 15+ minutes. However, the first time he did it with the Rabbit Air MinusA2, the alcohol was filtered out of the air in less than 5 minutes! It was INCREDIBLE!
Introducing an air purifier into your home is an investment, but one I think worth making! My husband has stopped taking his daily allergy medicine and sleeps much better at night. That alone is a miracle to me!
Check out the Rabbit Air MinusA2 Air Purifier information page to see all that it has to offer. This post would be a mile long if I went into all the details, and I’d hate to do that to you. 😉
5 // Be present during mealtime. Put the phone down.
This is not just a suggestion of being intentional by putting the phone away at mealtime. It is also a suggestion of paying attention to what you’re eating and who you are with while eating.
When you’re absent-minded from eating, you are at greater risk of overeating. Being present with your meal allows you to listen to your body and hear when it is full.
If you aren’t eating alone, you open yourself up to great conversation!
This opens you up to improving both your physical and mental health!

6 // Connect with a positive and uplifting friend on a regular basis.
Your life is influenced by the 5 people you’re around most, and when they are positive and uplifting, your life reflects that.
One of the best things you can do for your health is to connect with positive and uplifting friends! Seriously! The happier you are the more likely you are to make healthier choices.
This doesn’t mean it will be great all of the time, but it will have a major impact on improving your life and when you’re happier, you’re healthier.
7 // Start a gratitude journal
Journaling is a great way to get thoughts out or to record things that happened that day. Having a journal dedicated to gratitude is one surefire way to improve your mental health.
Not only will you feel grateful for the things you’re writing in it for the present day, but you can reflect on the things from your past that made you feel grateful.
Challenge yourself to list three things you’re grateful for each day. Level up the difficulty by not allowing yourself to repeat anything listed for an entire year.
I promise you’ll be amazed at how much your mental health improves by doing this.
We’ve discussed healthy alternatives to conventional products, sleep, improving air quality, having positive friends, journaling, and increasing your water intake.
I feel like I delivered in sharing creative ways to live a healthy lifestyle. What do you think?
Do you have any creative ways that you live healthy that I didn’t share? If so, I’d love to discuss them below in the comments!
