Homesteader Gift Guide – Gifts Perfect For Any Occasion

This post may contain affiliate links. You can read my full disclosure in the sidebar.

When it comes to giving gifts, I am all about giving something useful, meaningful, or practical. [That pretty much sums up most homesteaders, right?!] And I would like to think the person being gifted appreciates that. What is especially fun is thinking of who the person is we are gifting. Sure, there is the mom, dad, sister, aunt, uncle, etc. But what if you ignore the family/friend relation and look at who the person is? That is when the magic occurs. That is when you can really give something that person can value.

Since The Tannehill Homestead is a space all about learning how to homestead, living simpler, and enjoying life, I thought it only appropriate to create this Homesteader Gift Guide. This gift guide is perfect for any level homesteader, whether they are at a novice or expert level, so know that I have you covered! There are fun gifts [that are still practical], as well as extremely useful gifts within this guide.

I’m telling you this guide is legit!

I also want to take a second to thank the sponsors of this guide. Without them, this guide would not be as nearly as useful as I had imagined.

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? If not, you need to check out my Homesteader Gift Guide! It has everything your homesteader could ever want!

Homesteader Gift Guide

We are going to break the guide down into areas that these items are useful. So it will have kitchen goods, garden goods, and even a few balms that serve your homesteader. I think you’re going to like it!

Kitchen Goods

We all know how much homesteaders utilize their kitchen. From preserving to chopping to drying all kinds of things – oh and let’s not forget all the cooking! The following items help make all the things in the kitchen simpler to tackle.

Ninja Food Chopper //

The Ninja Food Chopper is not a new item on the market. In fact, I can only find it at WalMart or on Amazon, but don’t let the lack of storefront options fool you. The Ninja Food Chopper is perfect for the smaller jobs, such as chopping up chicken breasts or boiled eggs.

Any homesteader that needs things chopped quickly and with as little effort as possible will love this chopper! Plus, it is easy to toss in the dishwasher taking up little space compared to a full size blender or processor.

Misto Oil Sprayer //

This is by far the best kitchen gadget any homesteader could wish to receive! It is a refillable oil sprayer that works with any and all kinds of oils. It eliminates the need for new aerosol cans and saves the environment from unnecessary waste. I have had mine for 3 years and it is still going strong, as you can see from the photo.

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? This Instant Pot is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

Instant Pot //

Instant Pots are huge time savers for homesteaders. They can cook a variety of things in a fraction of the time. They can replace all sorts of small appliances, such as a crockpot, steamer, pressure cooker [although I don’t recommend that for canning], rice cooker, yogurt maker, etc.

While it may not always be better than all of these, you are giving your homesteader the option to reduce the time they take to prepare food and the number of small appliances they have. Most of us homesteaders need more room in the kitchen, and I highly recommend the Instant Pot as a way of freeing up some space!

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? This Hamilton Beach Food Processor is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

Hamilton Beach Food Processor //

I personally love Hamilton Beach products. I have several of them in my kitchen and this food processor is one of the newer ones!

A food processor is considered a staple for homesteaders, because it can chop and break down things that maybe too hard for a blender. Plus, it allows you to prepare more all at once.

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? This Mortar and Pestle is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

RSVP International Mortar and Pestle //

This mortar and pestle is not only gorgeous, but it is very useful within the homestead. It can grind up so many things to use in a variety of recipes. It’s obvious use is to grind up herbs for storing or adding into recipes, but it can also be used for grinding up tea leaves for custom herbal tea mixes.

I point out this particular mortar and pestle from RSVP International, because this company focuses on sustainable kitchen products that bring families together.

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? This Spice Grinder is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

RSVP International Grinder //

When a mortar and pestle is not enough for grinding spices this spice grinder does it like a charm! Being able to grind up spices into smaller pieces make them perfect for using in face masks and other fun spa like things.

Both the Mortar and Pestle and Grinder are considered staples for anyone looking into herbalism, tea making, or even DIY face masks.

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? This Kombucha Shop Deluxe Kombucha Brewing Kit and Tea Blends are a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

Deluxe Kombucha Brewing Kit //

Kombucha is something I see as great for the soul! For me, it replaced my cravings for wine and sodas. The only draw back it has is how expensive it can be to purchase ready to drink [I typically pay $3+ for one bottle]. To stop the madness, getting a deluxe starter kit from The Kombucha Shop is a MUST!

Every homesteader needs the opportunity to make their own kombucha versus having to purchase it off the shelf ready to consume. If your homesteader does not have a kit, they need it!

Books

I am pretty sure all homesteaders have a library of resources, but the following two may not have touched their radar just yet! If your homesteader loves a good book, then these will do the trick!

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? "The Heirloom Life Gardener" book is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

Baker Creek Books //

Homesteaders love to learn or need to learn about different things, and most of the time that means opening a book and reading. I am personally excited about these two books from Baker Creek. I have only gotten started with learning about the importance of choosing the right seeds and all that comes with gardening, so “The Heirloom Life Gardener” is a perfect starting point.

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? "Baker Creek Vegan Cookbook" is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

Also, I think “The Baker Creek Vegan Cookbook” is a great way to introduce different plant-based meals into your diet. I am by no means a vegan, but I think that learning some vegan recipes will be exciting!

Fun & Somewhat Random

These next couple of gifts are pretty unique! I think anyone would especially love to be gifted these!

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? A subscription to My Garden Box is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

My Garden Box //

My Garden Box is a pretty cool subscription box service that is perfect for any homesteader on your list! They have two options to choose from – My Monthly Plant [pictured above] and My DIY Garden [pictured below]. Both are of incredible value and always include unique plants and projects.

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? A subscription to My Garden Box is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

I highly encourage you to check them out if your person loves getting surprise plants in the mail!

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? This Bird House Set is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

Bird Houses and Baths //

I love this bird house set by Bird Houses and Baths, because they are of great quality and unique. Any homesteader loves feeding the birds, seeing them chirp, and fly around. However, we need to encourage them to stick around with these bird houses!

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? This Bone Bowl Set is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

Raven & Lily Horned Bowl Set //

I am obsessed with this Horned Bowl Set by Raven & Lily! It is perfect for holding different spices for recipes or using as home decor. Each set is unique, so your homesteader will end up with a one of a kind set. What I love most about them is that they are light weight, but are also durable.

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? This Bone Bowl Set is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

Raven & Lily Marra Bowl Set //

Another great Raven & Lily bowl set that I am in love with is the Marra Bowl Set. The smaller bowl is the perfect size for mixing up a clay mask to remove toxins from your skin, and the larger bowl is perfect for mixing up scrubs to remove the dead skin from your feet and hands.

These bowls can also make perfect bed side decor to hold jewelry for your homestead woman or keys for your homestead man. They are just as versatile as the horn bowl set.

Necessity Goods

Every hard working homesteader I know has bumps, bruises, burns, muscle pain, you name it! These next few recommendations make great additions to stockings, gift baskets, Think of You gifts, etc.

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? This Northern Ma Ice & Fire Muscle Balm is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? This Muscle Balm is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

Grandma’s Lavender //

One thing every homesteader probably has in common are sore muscles. Having a natural muscle balm on hand will always be needed. Grandma’s Lavender has two options: the regular Muscle Balm and Northern Man Ice & Fire Muscle Balm. I personally feel that both are necessary and useful!

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? These Salves is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

Sneed Acres //

Another thing all homesteaders probably have in common is getting cuts, scraps, and/or burns. This means that they can all use a pain relief or healing salve. The reason I specifically chose these salves from Sneed Acres is because they take their ingredients seriously and are very knowledgeable about what works.

Do you know what to gift your favorite homesteader? This Dr. Bonner's Gift Set is a total winner, but I also have a few other suggestions in my Homesteader Gift Guide you should check out, too!

Dr. Bronner’s Coconut Oil Gift Basket //

Last, but certainly not least, we have Dr. Bronner’s Coconut Oil Gift Basket. I love Dr. Bronner’s products because they are certified organic and fair trade products. My favorite is their castile soap!

I included them within this gift guide, because I believe that it is easier for a beginning homesteader to start with a set like this to prevent the feeling of overwhelm with making their own. I have yet to make my own soap, toothpaste [well I tried unsuccessfully], and lip balm. It is nice to have these products pre-made by a company I trust. Your homesteader will trust them too!

Plus, the castile soap can be used in several different ways, so getting to experiment with different recipes is still an option.

Hopefully one [or more] of my Homesteader Gift Guide recommendations will make your homesteader very happy for whatever gift occasion arrives! Let me know which gift recommendation you would love to receive below in the comments!

Oh & this gift guide will be updated periodically, so make sure to bookmark it for any future gift giving occasions that may occur.
