Minimalism Monthly Favorites – June 2017

Happy July!! It is officially my birthday month, and I could not be more excited about it this year! However, before we move onto July, I want to share with you my favorites for June!

If you missed it last month, I started a new Minimalism Monthly Favorites series of products that are simplifying my life through quality, easy of use, inspiration, or reduction in what I need.

In doing this, I hope you find a few ideas or items that will do the same for you! Knowing what products actually work or simplify your life is not as easy to figure out as one would hope.

I know I have struggled a lot with this, and I do not want the same for you! If I can make things a little easier for others, I am going to do just that!

All the products below are products used throughout the home or as personal care. If you would like me to cover something specific, please feel free to request it!

My minimalism monthly favorites include products that help me simplify, increase production, enjoy life, and much more! I hope with sharing these favorites, you will benefit from them as well!

Minimalism Monthly Favorites – June

1 // DIY Charcoal Mask

Sarah @ Pretty Simple Ideas is a genius when it comes to DIY skin care, and this is one of my favorites! When the humidity and heat pick up in the spring and summer, this mask keeps my pores clean and unclogged.

I am not sure who would not want that! I like to finish up this mask with a steam treatment and quality moisturizer.

My favorite part of this mask is that it is only 2 ingredients that are organic and great for your skin.

2 // Brita Pitcher

I was gifted with one of these by my boss. I was helping her declutter some things, and surprised she was letting go of it. Every since, I have used it to decrease my amount of water bottle usage. The quality and taste of this water is much better than any bottled water you can purchase.

What I also like about Brita is that I can send them their filters back to clean and reuse. I believe that if you want to solve a problem, the solution needs to be effective. If the filters would not be an effective alternative, at least in my opinion.

3 // Everyone Shower Gel, Coconut + Lemon

My husband recently cleaned our shower drain and realized that our bar soap was leaving a lot of residue in our drain. We decided to finish using our bar soap, and once we used them up we switch to liquid soap. It may or may not make a huge difference, but we are giving it a try.

Anyways, I purchased a Coconut Lemon liquid soap, and have really been enjoying it. It comes in a large size bottle that I can refill. It is also made with great ingredients, which is a big priority of mine.

4 // Peppermint Essential Oil

There are many things I use Peppermint Essential Oil for daily. My favorite way to use it is to loosen my muscles when they feel tight. I also use it in my diffuser to help energize my home and mix it with coconut oil when I oil pull in the morning.

5 // The Magnolia Story

There are not many non-fiction books that can captivate my attention from beginning to end. This book inspired me for several reasons, but the primary reason is Johanna. She not only has a spirit as I do, but her marriage is a lot like mine in certain ways.

As I read through the book, I could not help but be inspired to keep pursuing my dreams, because you never know when all the pieces will fall into place.

I also love the fact that Johanna likes a clutter-free home. She may not be a minimalist, but she does share her love for having a tidy home throughout the book.

If you have yet to read this story, stop what you are doing, and go read it! Yes it is that good!

I hope you are enjoying these monthly favorites as much as I am! It is so much fun to share things with you that help me live a simpler, more meaningful lifestyle.

My hopes is that you find something within this series that will help you in your journey as well!

If you do, I would love to know about it via commenting or contacting me personally! Each comment and email bring so much joy to my day, and I love the encouragement, support, and advice each of you bring.

No one is perfect, but everyone can strive to achieve their version of a perfect yet simple lifestyle.

What a fun series! I love discovering new ways to continue simplifying. The DIY Charcoal Mask looks awesome, can’t wait to try it out. And I had no idea you could send back the Brita filters, I have been cutting out plastic so I may have to try this.

Thanks, Kristal! I had no clue you could send the filters back until I started researching what to do with them. When I learned you could send them back, I was sold on Brita!
