Hello & Welcome to May’s Minimalism Monthly Favorites! Can you believe June is finally here?! I almost wish we could go back to May, because it was such an incredible month!

The community here, at The Tannehill Homestead, is growing so quickly. In fact, the community has more than doubled so far this year, and I cannot wait to see how it continues to grow.

With all of this growth, I decided to implement a few changes to keep things fun and exciting for everyone! If you have followed this blog for any length of time, you will know that my priorities have changed vastly over the past year.

Routines are improving, harmful chemicals are going out the door, eco-friendly items are replacing old items, and the list goes on from there!

So I got to thinking that maybe it is time to introduce you to new products and items that I am currently using and loving! I had no clue of all the different options that are available for all areas of our lives, and, if I did not know about them, odds are some of you may not know either.

What I would like to do is start a new monthly favorites post featuring different products each month. Each monthly feature will cover products ranging from kitchen goods, makeup/skincare products, food/beverages, books, etc.

Each product I share has enriched my life in one way or another. Whether it be through a healthier product, a product that has reduced my need for multiple products, or opened my mind to new ideas.

I want everyone to benefit from these posts, and hopefully find some new products/goods to try!

If this is something you would like to see, let me know below in the comments! Your input is always taken into consideration with anything that published on my site, so do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or things you would like me to discuss.

One more thing, I want you to know that I would never share a product with you that I did not wholeheartedly believe to be a great product!

I am personally on the search to clean up my products and items within my home, and I want to share the great finds with you! My goal is to help you in whatever journey you are on currently.

Check out May's monthly favorites to see which products I am loving to help simplify my life, improve my heath, and much more!

Minimalism Monthly Favorites – May

1 // Holy Kombucha Raspberry Pomegranate

Everyone needs a probiotic supplement, whether through kombucha or tablet. This particular kombucha is my absolute FAVORITE!!! I recently found it at my local health foods store, and immediately fell in love!

While I was not necessarily looking for a wine replacement, it is definitely a great alternative! It tastes like a carbonated wine cooler, but is completely healthy and refreshing! It is now a staple in my refrigerator.

2 // Tarte’s Shape Tape Concealer

I do not even know where to start with this product! It is simply amazing! I have all the problems with my eyes you can imagine. From dark circles to puffiness and fine lines, my eyes have it all!

The very first time I tried this concealer, I knew I had found the one! It seriously lasts all day long without creasing or wearing off, which is amazing!

It also eliminates the need for a liquid highlighter, so it not only works great, but it decreases the amount of products I use!

3 // Living Well Spending Less by Ruth Soukup

No, this is not a product, but it is a very useful tool that I think everyone needs! This is the very book that lead me to simplifying my life. Ruth covers everything from saving money to contentment to simplifying your possessions.

While she is not necessarily as minimalist, I think she does a great job at showing how messed up our priorities can be, and how we can change it.

4 // Misto Oil Sprayer

Want to talk about a life changing product in the kitchen? The Misto oil sprayer is definitely a game changer for me! It is an eco-friendly option to a traditional oil sprayer.

This one is reusable, and you can use whatever oil you wish! All you do is fill it half way with your oil, pump, and spray.

It not only saves you money, but it also saves the environment by decreasing the amount of empty aerosol cans from landfills.

5 // Dr. Bronners Pure Castile Liquid Soap

This was one of my first swaps when I decided to start using friendlier products. Each scent is made with pure essential oils that do different things.

For instance, Lavender is a great soap to use in the evening to relax and unwind from the day.

Peppermint is a great pick-me-up in the morning with its fresh minty smell.

However, my current favorite is Tea Tree. It helps my scalp and face even back out if it is acting up in any way at all.

This soap is also great for cleaning your home. The labels come with different ways to mix them depending on what you are using it for, such as a body product, cleaning in your home, or even as a laundry detergent.

This versatile product will help eliminate several products from your home.

I want to know which of these products appeal most to you or which ones you may have already tried! Let’s discuss it in the comments!

There is a reason, too! I have tried several concealers (eco-friendly and not eco-friendly), and none have been as good as this one. You should definitely try it! 🙂

I love Dr. Bronner’s, especially the almond scented bar soap. I’m curious about the reed diffuser in the picture — do you have a good one that is made with natural ingredients?

I have not tried the almond scented. Thank you for recommending it, Roberta! For the reed diffuser, you would use a carrier oil and essential oils of your choice. Some recipes say to use vodka, but I personally do not.

Angelica, I challenge you to read it before the month is finished! Just do it! That book has helped me in more ways than one, and it can help you, too!
